Yobe to establish Girls Day Secondary Schools in 7 local governments

Yobe state government to established Government Girls Day Senior Secondary Schools (GGDSSS) in Damaturu, Buni Yadi, Geidam, Gashua, Sabon Garin Nangere, Nguru and Potiskum local government areas.
Governor Mai Mala Buni disclosed this while presenting the 2023 Budget proposal to the Yobe State House of Assembly in Damaturu.

He maintained that, renovation work would be carried out at Government Secondary School Damaturu, Government Girls College, Buni Yadi, Government Girls College, Damaturu, Government Secondary School, Kukar Gadu, Government Girls Secondary School Ngelzarma.
Others are, Government Science Technical College Damagum, Government Girls Secondary School Gadaka, Government Day Secondary School Gashua, Government Girls Science and Technical College Potiskum and Higher Islamic College Nguru.
Governor Mai Mala Buni also said, government would constructs, rehabilitate and equip offices, lecture threatres, classrooms, hostels, residential quarters and other structures in primary and secondary schools as well as teriary institutions of learning in the state.
“Government would continue to supply furniture, instructional and learning materials and ensure payment of tuition and examination fees for our students studying in institutions in the country and abroad. He added.
He assured that is funds contributed for the Yobe State Education Trust Fund will be judiciously utilized for the purpose intended, adding that, the trust fund board is directed to swing into full action to execute its mandate.
