Zulum, Shettima’s Presence Will Not Hold Labour Party In Borno- Obi- Datti Movement

The Director of Obi- Datti Campaign Council in Borno State, Hon. Gavs Katiya has said that Labour Party is not intimidated by the presence of the incumbent Governor of Borno State as well as the Vice Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress ( APC ) in the 2023 general elections in the State.
Hon. Katiya said disenchanted population of the State who have been shortchanged by unpopular policies of the government of the day would ensure that the Presidential Candidate of the Labour party, Mr Peter Obi and his running mate , Dr. Yusuf Datti emerge victorious alongside other candidates of the party in the 2023 general elections for their liberation .
The Campaign Director said these on Saturday at the NUJ Conference Hall in Maiduguri during the inauguration of 54 support groups and 168 campaign council members for Obi- Datti presidential candidacy in the 2023 general elections.
He noted that since the inception of democracy in 1999, Borno citizens have seen the struggle to gain political and material advantage become increasingly violent, adding that from 2007 to date , Borno State has suffered violence and the violent ones has continued to maintain their dominance by hate and brutal force.
” We are gathered here to announce good news to the hurting people of Borno State. News of love for healing and survival; news of peace, news of liberation and news of liberation.

” We are here to inform the good people of Borno State that the presidency of Mr Peter Obi and Mr Yusuf Ahmed Datti will ensure security and provide welfare for the citizens as enshrined in the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria.
” The Obi-Datti combination is entrusted by all Nigerians who have formed support groups across the country to carry out the mandate base on their; motivation to serve; attitude towards service, and previous conduct in service,” Mr Katiya said.
He further said that Obi- Datti presidency will usher in good governance of providing security and welfare to the people through competence, merit, pragmatism and honesty.
The Obi- Datti campaign director inaugurated the 168 campaign council members and 54 support groups with each of the 27 local government areas of Borno State represented.
