2027: Tinubu deserves another term, Group mobilises Northeast for re-election

A group under the auspices of Tinubu Must Go Again (TMGA) 2027 on Thursday took their campaign to Yola in Adamawa State to rally support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election for a second term tenure.

Speaking at the rally in Yola Prof. Sheriff Almuhajir, TMGA’s National Coordinator described the turnout as a demonstration of the president’s support base in the North-East.

He said the gathering was part of efforts to counter claims that President Tinubu lacked sufficient support in Northern Nigeria ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

“The rally was organised voluntarily to demonstrate support for the president and communicate the administration’s reform agenda to Nigerians.

“We are here to inform Nigerians that Northern Nigeria understands the history of this country and the trajectory of its development.

“Nigeria was built through the contributions of leaders from different regions, and we believe the country must remain united,” he said.

He said the campaign believed the policies being pursued by the president would help lay the foundation for sustainable growth.

Almuhajir also highlighted President Tinubu’s contributions to the political advancement of Northern politicians, saying the president had supported three candidates from the region, two of whom were from Adamawa State.

According to him, the gesture reflected the president’s willingness to support the political aspirations of leaders from the North.

“As you can see thousands of young men and women marched for more than a kilometre in support of the campaign, while members of the public expressed solidarity along the route.

“We knew the president enjoyed support in Yola, but we did not expect this massive turnout,” he said.

Mustapha Ribadu, Secretary, All Progressive Congress (APC) in Adamawa, said they are committed to mobilising their people in support of Tinubu’s second-term ambition.

According to him, they will vote for APC from top to bottom aim to transform the country.

Dr Raymond Chidama, Deputy Chairman of the APC in Adamawa appreciated the organisers for choosing Adamawa as a starting point for the mobilisation drive.

According to him, the Yola rally was part of its nationwide strategy to engage young people, women, professionals and community leaders ahead of the 2027 election.

He called on the party supporters to get ready with their voters cards to vote for the party to come 2027 general elections.

The rally began from Unity flyover to Lamido Cinema.
