Bandits abduct 73 villagers in Zamfara

At least 73 persons have been abducted following a banditry attack on Buzugu and Rayau villages in Bukkuyum Local Government Area of the state.
Zagazola learnt that the e incident occurred at about 2:45 a.m. on Oct. 18, when armed bandits in large numbers, wielding sophisticated weapons, invaded the two villages and whisked away the victims to an unknown destination.
Sources psaid efforts were ongoing to ensure the safe rescue of all abducted persons and to restore normalcy in the affected communities.
It also assured residents of the command’s commitment to intensifying security operations in the area in collaboration with other security agencies and local vigilante groups.
