Bandits Abduct Eight, Rustle 115 Cattle in Niger State

Armed bandits have attacked Dakpala Village in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State, abducting eight persons and rustling 115 cattle, the police have confirmed.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the attack occurred on Feb. 24 at about 7:10 p.m., with the assailants storming the community in large numbers.

Among the abducted victims are: Sale Angwan Kawo, Landa Adamu, Ezolo Hussani, Asabe Daniel and her baby, Habiba Salogo and her baby, Rabi Hussani and Two other individuals whose identities are yet to be confirmed

One resident, Barthlomi Amos (Male, 38 years old), managed to escape and return home safely.The bandits also carted away two Honda motorcycles belonging to villagers.

Security forces have launched a search-and-rescue operation to secure the release of the victims and recover the stolen livestock.
