Boko Haram: Troops neutralize ISWAP elements in Borno
Nigerian military troops on Sunday morning foiled a terrorist attack at Aulari village in Bama local government area of Borno state in North-east Nigeria.
Locals said the ISWAP elements were repelled on Sunday, when they came to attack the community, which is located about 11 km to Bama town where the government is working to return civil authorities.
They said: “Troops of Operation HADIN KAI successfully waded off the attack, while the terrorists had to retreat towards Sambisa Forest.

Also a military source who confirmed the development said that the ISWAP elements may be looking for a closer location to Bama in order to attack Bama and disrupt activities going on and the return of peace in the area.
He said: “A NAF A-Jet was subsequently scrambled to track them as they retreated and luckily, they were sighted in 4 Gun trucks which were engaged.
“After engaging the Gun Trucks with rockets, 3 were completely destroyed and burned while the other was immobilized.
“A number of insurgents were also neutralized in the process while others were in disarray.” The source added.
