Borno NUJ lauds commissioner for renovation work at Press Centre.

The Chairman NUJ Borno State Council Comrade Bulama Talba has lauded the effort of the Honourable commissioner Ministry for Reconstruction Rehabilitation and Resettlement, Engineer Mustapha Gubio for commencing renovation work at NUJ Press Centre in Maiduguri. 

The Chairman NUJ made the commendation while inspecting the on-going renovation work which commenced yesterday at the NUJ secretariat

Earlier this year the Chairman and Executive Members of the Union paid a courtesy call to the Hon commissioner RRR and commended him on his effort towards reconstruction of destroyed communities and resettlement of IDPs and also appealed to the commissioner to consider renovation of the dilapidated NUJ Secretariat.

In his response during the visit, the Hon. The Commissioner promised to assist the Union with renovation work which should be done in three phases and already a team of engineers have commenced the first phase of work since yesterday. 

Comrade Bulama Talba said, the  last renovation work at the NUJ was carried out by the state Governor  Professor Babagana Umara Zulum when he was the commissioner of RRR where he renovated a hall and mosque at the NUJ secretariat .

The chairman said NUJ will ever remain grateful to Engineer Mustapha Gubio for coming to the aid of Journalists in the state and assured that it will continue to support  the state government especially in its effort towards  rehabilitation and resettlement of IDPs back to their communities. 

The Chairman NUJ then appealed to the General public to continue to support the present administration in its determination to restore normalcy and peace  as well as provision of basic social amenities to the people in the state 

The present administration under the leadership of Prof Babagana Umara Zulum is determined to change the lives of people in the state for better,therefore  all hands must be on deck  to support him especially on  this administration 25 year development plan and ten pact agenda , the NUJ Chairman NUJ added
