By: Yahaya Wakili

The Chairman of the Caretaker Management Committee of Nangere local government area of Yobe state, Hon. Salisu Yarima, charged the people that as the holy month of Ramadan ends, let us take a moment to reflect on the lessons and blessings that came with it.

Hon. Salisu Yarima disclosed today, after the Eid-el-Fitr prayers at the old Nangere praying ground, that the month of Ramadan has been a time of faith and self-discipline for us Muslims around the world.

The chairman urged the people of Nangere local government to search for something to do, no matter how small it is, not to stay ideal, making business very important in our lives.

“We are approaching the rainy season; let us search for food security; don’t rely on NGO’s or organizations to feed you; don’t sit down at home; go back to the farm; sitting at home won’t take you anywhere.” Yarima said.

Yarima calls on the parents to send their children to school, either for western education or Arabic education, because education is very vital to a human being’s life; without education, there is no development in any society. He also urged the people to be loyal to their leaders, because in any society, if the masses are not respecting their leaders, nothing will go well.

We are praying to our leaders, right from the President, our humble Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, down to our traditional rulers. May Almighty Allah (SWT) help and guide them in the right way.

“We also pray to our people, those who went to Saudi Arabia to perform Ummarah. May Allah (SWT) return them back home peacefully.
