Chairman Nangere LG charges people to continue to reflect on Ramadan

The Chairman of the Caretaker Management Committee of Nangere local government area of Yobe state, Hon. Salisu Yarima, charged the people that as the holy month of Ramadan ends, let us take a moment to reflect on the lessons and blessings that came with it.
Hon. Salisu Yarima disclosed today, after the Eid-el-Fitr prayers at the old Nangere praying ground, that the month of Ramadan has been a time of faith and self-discipline for us Muslims around the world.
The chairman urged the people of Nangere local government to search for something to do, no matter how small it is, not to stay ideal, making business very important in our lives.
“We are approaching the rainy season; let us search for food security; don’t rely on NGO’s or organizations to feed you; don’t sit down at home; go back to the farm; sitting at home won’t take you anywhere.” Yarima said.
Yarima calls on the parents to send their children to school, either for western education or Arabic education, because education is very vital to a human being’s life; without education, there is no development in any society. He also urged the people to be loyal to their leaders, because in any society, if the masses are not respecting their leaders, nothing will go well.
We are praying to our leaders, right from the President, our humble Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, down to our traditional rulers. May Almighty Allah (SWT) help and guide them in the right way.
“We also pray to our people, those who went to Saudi Arabia to perform Ummarah. May Allah (SWT) return them back home peacefully.

Gumi warns against provoking terrorists amid peace talks

Gumi warns against provoking terrorists amid peace talks
Sheikh Ahmad Gumi has cautioned against provoking armed groups in Katsina State after a peace deal was struck between terrorists and residents of Faskari Local Government Area.
The comments come amid recent peace meeting held on Sunday in Faskari between residents, local traditional leaders, and a wanted bandit kingpin, Ado Alero, alongside dozens of armed herders.
Recall that a notorious bandit leader, Isiya Kwashen Garwa, earlier declared wanted by the Defence Headquarters, had reportedly accepted a peace deal in Katsina State.
Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst, in a post on his X handle on Sunday disclosed that Garwa turned up in Hayin Gada community, Faskari Local Government Area, presenting himself as an advocate of dialogue.
In a Facebook post on Monday, Gumi warned that any attempt to attack the armed groups could reignite violence in the state.
“Some people who don’t want peace, will provoke them again by attacking them. It’s very important to educate them that they are used by capitalising on their ignorance and zeal to vengeance,” Gumi wrote.
