Eid El-Kabir: Buni urges citizens to continue to pray for peace in Yobe

Yobe State Governor, Hon Mai Mala Buni has urged the people to continue to pray for peace and prosperity of the state and country.
Buni stated this in his Sallah Message to the people of the state which was signed by Alhaji Mamman Mohammed, Director General, Press and Media Affairs.
“As we approach the general elections, we should also pray for peaceful electioneering.” Buni said.
He said the Eid-el-kabir, is a period of sacrifice, forgiveness, submission and benevolence “we should imbibe these teachings to accommodate one another and promote peace for growth and development of the state and country.
Buni urged the faithful to observe the virtues of peace, love, accommodation and tolerance as preached by the religion of Islam.

He admonished the people to engage in agriculture as the season commences for economic recovery, food sufficiency and security.
Mala Buni also congratulated pilgrims from the state for successful Hajj exercise.
“I wish everyone a rewarding, peaceful and memorable Sallah festival.” the Governor said.
“Rejoice with our pilgrims in Saudi Arabia for the opportunity to perform the Hajj exercise this year, you should pray for peace to reign in the state and the country.
The Governor congratulated Muslim faithful on the occasion of the Eid-el-kabir Sallah festival.
He further assured that his administration will continue to execute people oriented projects to improve the lives of the people.
