Guber 2023: Yobe elections free, fair -Hon. Khadija

A Member representing Gulani, Gujba, Damaturu and Tarmuwa in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon.Hajiya Khadija Bukar Abba Ibrahim has said that the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections has been free and fair and everybody has come out and exercise their civic duty.

Speaking to Newsmen shortly after casting her vote at Mairi Dispensary Emir’s Place polling unit 005, Damaturu. She said, there have been no hitch, there have been no violence especially here in Yobe, no report of any electoral violence which is very good.

According to her, initially two weeks ago in the Presidential and National Assembly election there were hitch on BVAS and things like that but honestly it has been corrected so far, so good this time around the election was carry out successful and we are hoping for positive result Inshallah.

“Eventually it will get there everybody will test the dividend of democracy one way or the other through a lot of projects, through empowerment programmes and through government policies that will trained people to be better citizens of the state.

She revealed that, we first interaction with various members of my constituency and every in all the four local governments all the constituency have different issue and different challenges and problems, so we hope to address those accordingly.

There some places complaining of boreholes, lack of portable drinking water and we will ensure that we delivered and we make sure that we include borehole in our project so as to ensure that portable drinking water and also with some other issues.

“So i can said each constituency have there own parculia issue of problem, so we can address them accordingly Inshallah.” She added.
