Romania Donates Educational Tools to Nigerian Army School

The Romanian government as part of efforts to deepen relations with the Nigeria, has presented dozens of laptops and printers to the army day secondary school, Mambila barracks Maitama.
This intervention in aimed at supporting the education effort of the Nigerian government to families of those in the armed forces.
The Romanian ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Florin Talipam and the Honorary Consul to Nigeria, Mr. Emeka Obianozie presented the ROAID, Agenția de Cooperare Internațională Pentru Dezvoltare (Romania’s International Development Cooperation Agency) donation on behalf of the Romanian government in Abuja.
The Romanian ambassador to Nigeria, Florin Talipam in his speech said that the ROAID donation was part of the Romanian government’s effort to support countries that need some intervention in selected areas of human endeavor and the presentation of laptops and printers to the army day secondary school supports and justifies the vision of the government.
Obianozie, the Honorary Consul to Nigeria during the presentation to the Army Day Secondary School Mambila Barracks said the school was selected in the Federal Capital Territory, primarily to honour, and appreciate the sacrifices of the members of the Nigerian Armed Forces in the defense of the nation.
He added that: “The idea is to ensure that the school where the children of these officers and men of the Nigerian Armed Forces who put their life on the line for the nation are equipped with the necessary ICT facilities to enable them compete in a fast-developing digital world.”
The principal of the school, Hajia Sadat Yahaya noted that it is a dream come true for the students and staff as the presentation of laptops and printers will significantly enhance the schools’ educational resources, and students ICT exposure.
She expressed, in her address, appreciation of the gesture of goodwill by the Romanian government and announced that the Army Day Secondary’s Computer Room will be renamed “the Romanian ICT lab” with the school ready to welcome Romanian arts and other materials which will be equally displayed in the lab.
The principal added that government alone cannot shoulder everything in education and what the Romanian government has done for the school showed it is a believer in the education of the Nigerian child and that it effort geared towards supporting the Nigerian government and the future of the young school children could not but be commended.
One of the highlights of the event is a dramatic presentation of Gbagyi and Igbo traditional dances by the students in their beautiful cultural attires.

Troops Repel Bandit Attack on Mada, Kill Four in Zamfara

Troops of Operation FANSAR YANMA, in collaboration with local vigilantes, repelled another attack by bandits on Mada town in Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State, killing four of the assailants.
The attack, which occurred at about 10 p.m. on Friday, was the latest in a series of retaliatory assaults on the town by bandits following the killing of a notorious kingpin in the area.
A security source told Zagazola Makama that the troops, acting on intelligence, swiftly engaged the attackers in a fierce gun battle, forcing them to retreat into the forest with gunshot wounds.
“The bandits stormed the town in an attempt to unleash terror, but the security forces and vigilantes responded effectively. We neutralized four of them, while others escaped with injuries,” the source said.
A resident identified as Naziru Bakanike Mada sustained a gunshot wound on his shoulder during the confrontation and was rushed to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
Zagazola report that Friday’s attack marked at least the fourth attempt by the bandits to overrun Mada in revenge for the killing of notorious bandit leader, Alhaji Sani Dan Garin Bawo, by security forces in an earlier military operation.
Since March 11, to date, fighters loyal to neutralized kingpin headed bandits Dogo Hamza have carried out a large-scale retaliatory attack on Mada. However, security forces have consistently repelled their incursions, inflicting heavy casualties on them.
“Mada is their burial ground, let them keep coming and continue trying their luck and we shall continue sending them to their maker,”said a military official.

Security Forces Close in on Notorious Bandit Kachalla Dan Mai Kinni as Key Aide is Captured

Security forces have intensified efforts to track down notorious bandit leader, Kachalla Dan Mai Kinni, following the arrest of his close associate, Lawali Malangaro, in Tsibiri, Zamfara State.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that Malangaro, a native of Tsibiri, was apprehended by vigilante groups in Galadi.
He is believed to be a key figure in Mai Kinni’s network, managing stolen cattle and funds linked to bandit activities in the Kaura Namoda, Shinkafi, and Zurmi axis, extending to eastern Sokoto.
Kachalla Dan Mai Kinni commands a heavily armed gang and has been terrorizing communities in Galadi, Tsibiri, and Tubali. His group is accused of orchestrating violent attacks in the region.

Army Troops Neutralize 12 Terrorists including a Bandit kingpin Kachallah Dogo in Katsina, capture 7 motorcycles

Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA conducting a fighting patrol in Maigora village, Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State, have successfully neutralized 12 terrorists and capturing multiple motorcycles used by the assailants.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that that the terrorists were neutralized on Friday when the armed bandits stormed the village around 12:30 p.m.
However, troops in the vicinity swiftly responded, engaging the attackers in a firefight that forced them to withdraw into nearby bushes.

In the initial encounter, troops neutralized five bandits and seized two motorcycles. During a follow-up operation, the fleeing bandits regrouped and launched a counterattack on the troops, who decisively repelled them and pursued them into the hills.
The security forces then engaged the retreating bandits with mortar fire, killing seven more and scattering the remaining fighters.
Further exploitation of the area led to the capture of seven additional motorcycles belonging to the terrorists.
Battle damaged assessments indicated that a key bandit leader, identified as Malum, sustained gunshot wounds during the engagement.
Meanwhile, sources confirmed that at least 12 bandits were buried on Friday evening, including a senior commander known as Dogo, who was neutralized during the operation.

As of Friday morning, security operatives have maintained dominance in the area to prevent any further incursion by the bandits.
