Tikau urges his people to go to the farm as the rainy season approaches

The Emir of Tikau, in Yobe State, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammadu Ibn Grema II, has called on the people of the emirate to use this opportunity to go back to farming as the rainy season is approaching.
He said we introduce a new program, we call it “Agric Waqaf,” which will reduce the poverty amongst the people and would be implemented in the major towns of the emirate.
The monarch disclosed this in his Sallah message as Muslims across the country and the world today celebrate Eid-el-kabir.
“These programs, we are going to implement them in some major towns in our domains, for self-reliance through Waqaf, and every community will introduce the farm for themselves, and we receive advice from the experts, and we are among the emirates that were selected to start the program, Tikau and Hadeja emirates in Jigawa state,” Alhaji Abubakar said.
He stressed that, the rainy season is approaching people should go back to farm and also pray for peace and bumper harvest across the emirate, and the state for the incoming rainy season.
The royal father called on the people to embrace the values of sacrifice and peaceful coexistence and to pray for the peace of our emirate, state, and the nation at large.
Alhaji Abubakar Muhammadu Ibn Grema II thanked the people of the Tikau Emirate Council for their unflinching support to the present administration of His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni CON, through prayers and cooperation.
The emir also calls on the people not to relent in contributing to the maintenance of peace and harmony and to intensify prayers for the peaceful conducting of the 2027 general elections and beyond.
The monarch prays, May Allah accept all our Ibadat and reward all of us with Janatul Fiddausi. Ameen.
