Yobe begins deliberation on harmonized local government bill

Yobe State House of Assembly has begin deliberation on harmonized 17 Local Government Appropriation and Finance bills.
The House Leader, Alhaji Bukar Mustapha said a bill for a law to provide for Yobe state harmonized 17 local government councils appropriation bill, 2023 is to the sum of #47,134,644,028.
Hon. Bulama Bukar who contributed during the second reading said the bill be pass in good time so as the people at the grassroot can benefit from it.
Hon. Chiroma Buba a member representing Jajere constituency opin that all Houses of Assembly of the federation had a right to appropriate in respect of local government councils in a state.
Also those contributed during the second reading were Hon. Abdullahi Bazuwa and Hon. Ahmed Musa Dumbol.
After thorough deliberation during the plenary, the speaker, Hon. Ahmed Lawan Mirwa referred the matter to joint committees on local government and finance and appropriation.
