In the vibrant tapestry of Edo State politics, the upcoming 2024 governorship election has set the stage for a dynamic display of political prowess. As politicians from various parties embark on their campaign journeys, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu emerges as a formidable contender, poised to leave an indelible mark on the political landscape.

Recently it became crystal clear to Edo voters who were doubting whether their beloved Pastor will come out to contest again put rest following Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu declaration in the 2024 Edo state Governorship election with a gathering of members and executives from Ugboko ward in Orhionmwon Local Government area. It was a fun fair and homecoming atmosphere with the presence of Chief Matthew Ehigie (Chairman APC Elders council Orhionmwon LGA), Mr Larry Enobakhare (APC LGA Secretary), Mr Henry Obe (Chairman Ugboko ward), Mr Igieholor (Ugboko ward secretary), Ugboko ward Woman Leader, Ugboko ward Youth Leader, Chief Lawrence (Chairman Ukpato ward), Hon. Nosa Obamwonyi, and leaders from various wards in Orhionmwon Local Government. This warm reception and gathering of politicians only depict that Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu political structure is intact.
Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu’s multifaceted persona extends beyond the confines of religious leadership, seamlessly weaving through the intricate tapestry of Nigerian society with a remarkable presence in both spiritual and political realms. As the Provincial Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Edo Province 16, he doesn’t merely hold a position; he embodies a profound commitment to fostering spiritual growth and community development.

At the helm of Edo Province 16, Pastor Ize-Iyamu serves as a guiding force, leading a significant religious community with unwavering dedication. His pastoral role extends far beyond the pulpit, encompassing the mentorship of individuals seeking spiritual guidance and the facilitation of community-oriented initiatives. Through his charismatic leadership, he not only influences the local dynamics of the RCCG congregation but also plays a pivotal role in shaping the spiritual landscape on a national scale within the RCCG hierarchy.

Ize-Iyamu was former Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Edo state government and served as Director General of Adams Oshiomhole’s 2nd term Campaign Organisation. He was also the Coordinator of Goodluck/Sambo Campaign Organisation in Edo State.

The Ize-Iyamu SIMPLE Agenda is a meticulously devised plan that warrants careful revision to align with contemporary developmental indicators and the prevailing realities on the ground. This agenda encapsulates critical focal points that address paramount concerns within the state.
For clarity, the acronym ‘SIMPLE’ delineates the strategic pillars of the agenda, with each letter representing a pivotal aspect. ‘S’ signifies a commitment to Security and Social Welfare, ‘I’ underscores the emphasis on Infrastructural Development/Urban Renewal, ‘M’ denotes the dedication to Manpower Development and Training, ‘P’ highlights the focus on fostering Public Private Partnership (PPP), ‘L’ underscores Leadership by Example, and ‘E’ underscores the commitment to Employment Creation and a Social Empowerment Scheme.

Guber 2027: Wali emerges APC candidate for Yobe

Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali, fcan, mni, has emerged as the gubernatorial candidate for your state following the primary election held in Yobe state ahead of the 2027 general election.

Baba Mallam Wali won the election with the landslide victory where he defeated his two opponents, Hon. Bashir Shariff Machina and Engr. Mustapha Mai Hajja.

The affirmation exercise culminated in the final collection of results at the headquarters of the three senatorial districts in the state, where party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters had converged.

Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and members of the media monitored the process across the wards and at the collation center.

Speaking to Newsng after the primary election, Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali, mni, thanked party members and supporters for what he described as an overwhelming show of confidence and love.

He further expressed gratitude to his supporters for the love and solidarity shown toward him and also praised the crowd for remaining committed and conducting the primary election peacefully during the procession.

The executive governor of Yobe state, Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, COMN, has won the Yobe East senatorial district primary election.

And Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai has won the Yobe South Senatorial seat. While Senator Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan GCON, the longest-serving senator, has won the Yobe North Senatorial seat, respectively.

Senator Musa Mustapha moved a motion for endorsement of His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni CON as the sole APC senatorial candidate for the Yobe East Senatorial District.

The motion was seconded by Hon. Lawan Shettima Ali in line with the provisions of our laws.

“I am truly grateful to our political leaders and constituents for the opportunity given to me to serve in the Nigerian Senate,” Senator Mustapha said.

He maintained that Governor Mai Mala Buni and I have always agreed on everything that we have to do to make our state better, and he is the one that will take over from me.

“With his track record of performance, the Yobe East senatorial election has already been won by Governor Buni, inshallah, and I don’t think there is anybody today with the political capacity to even come near him in the upcoming elections.

2027: Fintiri wins APC’s senatorial ticket for Adamawa North

Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial ticket in the forthcoming 2027 general elections for Adamawa North Senatorial District.

Mr Wilfred William, the returning officer of the APC primary election for Adamawa North senatorial district declared Fintiri the winner and returned him as APC’s candidate at the collation centre in Mubi-North Local Government Area of Adamawa.

He said that the election was conducted across the five LGAs in the zone; Madagali, Maiha, Michika, Mubi-North and Mubi-South.

“The total number of votes for the five LGAs is 292,070, accredited votes 174,514, votes cast 174,514.

“The following are the number of votes scored by each aspirant; Abdulrahaman Kwacham 6,958 votes; Ahmadu Fintiri 160,579 votes and Hamisu Medugu 6,977.

“Having satisfied the requirements, Fintiri scored the highest votes and was hereby declared the winner and returned elected for the Adamawa North Senatorial District,” he said.
